Paraffin Survival Fire Starter

Vaseline or paraffin-soaked cotton balls are a great survival fire starter tool that belongs in every EDC bag! They are highly flammable and a little of the fluffed material goes a long way. If you are in a wet environment or want a ‘foolproof’ way to get a fire going, these are a must-have!

Each package comes with 10 paraffin-soaked cotton balls capable of making up 100 fires if used sparingly and in conjunction with a good tinder bundle (you only need a little from each one if used with a tinder bundle). By itself, half of a cotton ball can be used to direct light a fire starting with pencil lead-sized sticks.

The emptied tin itself can be used to make charcloth by punching a small hole in the top and adding your char material. This would be a great addition to any EDC bag and a tool we certainly have in all of ours!
